    XS2 Speedometer Face

I'm trying to prep my old speedo face for the application of a new decal. (original style) The original display looks to have been painted on, do you think I will be safe using acetone? I obviously don't want to damage the plastic plate that the new decal will be affixed to. Suggestions?

Wanted - Trip Meter detent spring?

The trip meter on my XS2 "snaps" into place when its reset to all zeros. At least it did at one point. Do you have an early speedo that does that as well? I'm looking to replace mine. I'm not interested in a fully functioning/useable gage, just an old, beat up gage that has been saved for parts...

    TIRES?

Looking to get a set of vintage style (K70) Dunlops for my XS2. From what I see & what is on the bike, a ribbed style is the choice for a front tire. Knowing the early bikes liked to wobble at speed, I can understand that a ribbed tire would be ideal. Most of my riding will be country roads...

I'm CONSIDERING a trade of one of my bikes.... I have a '72 with title that is original condition with 41 thou on the clock. Correct Speedometer...

I have a 21" front wheel from a 1974 Honda XL125 on my build. It has a built in speedo drive. Other than using a stock Honda unit, how do I choose a speedometer to work with it? Are they all the same? What do I need to know? (ratios & stuff)

    Zinc chain in gas tank?

I recently bought a new gas cap for my project. I have a P-Nut tank from Lowbrow, and it has the British style filler on it and therefore I purchased a gas cap to fit. The cap came with a gold cad plated chain lanyard that is too short for my liking and I would like to use a zinc...
