How to identify what carburetors you have?. Are the cast wheels tubed or tubeless without removing the tyre? And the frame, as my frame has been powder coated so the vin plate has been removed and the frame number powder coated over.

What realistically can you reduce the weight of the xs650 to without spending silly amounts of money? And what are the easiest parts to change/modify? I want to make my xs650SH a bit faster. So weight loss must be the way to go, as this will benefit braking and maybe handling on the cheap.

I have a right hand switch which is not correct, the light switch has three stops, and my replacement only has two. If I swop the switches over how do I wire the old switch to the new wires. The new switch has two points connected with a white wire. And all the points on the switches don't match...

Hi all, this is for the americans really. I have a xs650sh 1981 imported from the USA, and i'm trying to find what badges/emblems are on the side panels on this model.

Tried to line up the gasket with the screw holes on the sump plate, and surprise, surprise they will not all line up. Can't see how to enlarge the hole without destroying the gasket. Maybe I could use liquid gasket? Any ideas or recommendation?

How do you remove the front brake light switch from the master cylinder? I did read that someone said the was a small hole under the lead, but I cannot find one on mine (sx650sh), imported from the USA.
