Hi guys. I am wanting to do this upgrade to my xs. On MikesXS there is only one option to buy. Was there more than one in the past? If so does anyone have the part numbsr of the one that was correct or incorrect?

Yep its in the middle of the night and the emd of December not much snow but still cant ride lol. Question. And my yes bike is far from stock. Has anyone ran a windshield similiar to the Dyna windshields? I dont want to buy a Harley. Just like the look.

The reason bikes were ever baught for us as kids was my Dads bike he road in Texas before Vietnam. Honda 350 Scrambler. I believe that if this bike wasnt baught than there may not have been any hauled home for use as kids. Thanks Dad!

Does the engine have to be changed? Does it have to be rephased or can it be installed like just a set of new jugs and rings? Something like that? 🙂

Road the bike for a couple days. Bike seems to be working pretty hard. When I go a few miles and come to a stop it does not want to take throttle until its past 1/4 throttle. Will adjust mixture screw? Not sure.

The bike last night did feel like it took alot of throttle to get moving. Different than last ignition. Wonder if I should move the clip up one? That would put it in the middle.

I was probably pretty damn close to that with the last ignition I was running.

Makes sense to me. At the pump here I have the choice of 87 and 91 octane. Ive been runnimg 91 in the bike. The Mikes XS that gave many angry hours of frustration seem to only run at 40° btdc or it didnt run at all. And it had to be fully advanced. Well advanced as far as the crappy unit will...

Over 300 hours. I know its a bobber. But its what Ive wanted for many years just couldnt afford one so I built it instead.

Not on the top needle slot. I have 2 open slots below where my needle sits. I moved it down before I found the leaking head gasket.

Is the static timing not a good way to go?

I do have a timing and I sure will do that.

The bike was charging. But I still installed my 12volt 5ah battery. I found a small one mentioned earlier the size of a cig pack. But the price is a bit high.

15 mile trip to town and sat for an hour and 15 back.

I was able to get bike running. This evening I was able to ride to town and back 30 miles. Very happy Guy tonight. 🙂
