For sale is a 1978 yamaha xs650. 22,000 miles, clean looking.
Mostly stock, except from the tank and side cover which are from a 1975. I installed a pamco ignition, a Magura brake master cylinder, stainless steel brake lines, a fork brace, and some peashooter muffler.
The tires are 2 year old, newish chain (less than 1,000 miles), new front brake pads.
I'm selling because I don't ride it. I just did a few miles this year (it worked very well). I just tried to start it and it fired with no problem.

What happened to original tank? Clean title? How long have you owned it? I live in DC and am interested in an XS.

I still have the original tank and side cover. They were the 650 xs special type, they made the bike look like a small cruiser. Not my cup of tea.
The title is clean.
I've owned it since 2004 or 2005, I can't remember.
