That’s my plan. I need wheels that don’t require those cheap plastic covers or $400 in lug nuts.

Have you considered scrapping the factory wheel covers and buying a set of generic wheel covers from an auto supply place or Walmart?
I did. I expect the same issue. It’s not like the old days when a wheel cover was a wheel cover. 14 or 15 in.
I heard it was based on the Escape. Either way, I've owned both and they were the two best cars I ever owned. Still have the 2010 Escape w/360k on it.

You could be right I think it is the Escape
If escape wheels fit, I’ll run them if I find them.
