need a little advice here. I put a sweet new ignition in my bike but it died about a mile from home. I found it still had spark but random.
When I removed the left cam end cover I found the nut had come off the end of the shaft and the little trigger rotor was loose. Upon closer inspection it turns out the shaft broke at the threads. There is enough threads left to put the nut on but no washers.
I could use a thread locker but maybe the rest could snap off to? Or just glue it and don't worry about it?

You need to get another advance rod. The washer serves an important role in keeping the magnets from exiting the rotor.

jussumguy,

There are several used OEM advance rods available now on E-Bay starting at $12. Remember that the condition of the rod is not really important with the PAMCO E-Advancer as the rod does not rotate in the cam shaft anymore.
