Here's another fun one. The 48 cylinder Kawasaki.



This looks a bit like a Napier Sabre 24 cylinder H-block engine. It was basically two horizontally opposed 12 cylinder engines one above the other - with the two crankshafts geared together. It used sleeve valves (not poppets) and I think it turned at an ear-splitting 3500-4000 rpm versus around 2200 for most other big piston engines of WW-II.

The Sabre produced between 2200 and 3000 BHP and powered the Hawker Typhoon fighter bomber and certain Marks of the Tempest interceptor - quite the mill really.
 
That is so cool! His work is just so amazing. He cuts these motors up , welds everything back together, and they look absolutely factory and seamless. And they run perfect!
