I have made lollipops, they are very effective. Problem is, you have to drill a hole in your pipes, thereby "ruining" them.
This is a better solution in my opinion. Homemade baffle. Add or subtract more bolts and nuts as desired for "tuning." It is a friction fit, but don't worry, it's not going anywhere, I've made a lot of these for a lot of different bikes. Very effective. Very simple.
BTW, these are made from EMT conduit, aka thinwall tubing.
Well, yeah, they change the sound.
If I do say so, when I crack the throttle, my bike sounds awesome, but it is never ear-splitting.
It's cheap and easy, try it, if you don't like it, pull it out.
