Hey Guys,
Getting ready to put the carbs back on after spending the winter building.
'82 xs650. I think that means Minuki BS34 carbs, right?
I had the carbs apart last summer, can't remember the jet sizes but I know they are NOT stock. And definitely not the right size, cuz the engine couldn't idle, would race up and down the RPM range w/o touching the throttle. I'm planning on junking the jets that are in them.
Running uni-pod air filters, open exhaust.
I figure I'll buy 1 and 2 sizes up from stock for the mains and pilots and see how it runs.
Question 1: is main: 132.5 and pilot 42.5 the correct STOCK sizes?
Question 2: then if I'm buying 1 and 2 sizes up, I'm getting: Main 135 & 137.5 and pilot 45 & 47.5 correct?
Question 3: what is a good source for the jets? I remember someone saying to NOT get them from MikesXS.
