I'm trying to get my jets dialed in (running rich I think right now)

Jjj set on second to top (had on middle initially per the main thread)

850' above sea level in the dry desert of Eastern WA.

Then I noticed the left carb in the attached picture has an aluminum piece the needle slides in but the right doesn't... What the heck!

Is that piece causing the "rich" condition?

Thanks

I bought one, hopefully fixes it for $35 bucks :O paid 50 for the carbs.. haha.

from my research it is the needle jet collar, goes in before the needle jet holder/needle jet.

Also people are saying this will cause it to run rich at low rpm, so I'm crossing my fingers.

Seems a couple of hundred US is a reasonable end up price, may have some more to go.......Cost me $180 Aus without jetting or needles yet, Can't complain from here perspective

Yep I bought that piece and new o rings. For some reason my 1 yo o rings are swollen... :/
Can't wait to see if it purrs. I thought jetting was off but it's running too rough /rich for the setup. Everyone starts with this jet base line it seems.
