Funny thing, those holes. That's exactly what I did to my 81 Special II to get the sound just right.

Very observant! Yes, the holes were drilled by the local m/c shop. Now it has a definite bumpety-bump-bump-bump. Esp. on deceleration.

So was mine that bike was only going to sell low and I guess he had to pull it. I was only going up to $1000 and stopping there

Either it sold for the buy it now, or he pulled it.
I think the classifieds need to only allow members with several post to list. The seller of this bike and so many others sign up, list and then you never see them again or never reply to messages/posts. The seller of this bike was last on Wednesday when he listed it.
