My Hot wing Tail is coming tomorrow. I want to start building the bracket to mount it. Can anyone post up pics of what they've done along with some measurements? I really don't want to reinvent the wheel if I don't have to.
Thanks

I can't say enough good about Hotwing. I ordered a tail section and a set of bars under 2 different orders. He credited me back the cost of shipping the bars and threw them in with the tail. The tail itself looks top notch. No flaws in the gel coat. Once I trimmed the rear of the frame it laid on like it was home. I still need to make the mounting brackets but included in the box was a diagram on the basic of how and where to mount them. BTW: the #10 bend bars were only $24 shipped with the tail.

I ended up winging it and designing my own brackets. Aside from my crappy welds I think it turned out okay.
When I took the pics I had the seat bottom set up to run parallel with the frame rails. After the pictures were taken I decided to drop the rear down an inch to cover the frame.

Here's a pic of my mounts taken in 2005 during my build. Hope this helps if you haven't already done yours.

The tank is a Champion 759 from Grandprix Glass Works out of Casper, Wy. Jake does good work and has supplied the tanks for my flattrackers as well. Attached is pic of the bike. Been riding it since 2005 with some upgrades since. It goes real well.
