I'm looking to get something a Lil bigger w still ok mileage. How does the xs1100 compare w the Virago1100? I'm seeing the claimed hp at 95 for the xs inline 4 and 6I for the virago v2. The xs production stoped in early 80s the V made mid 80s. How does that HP differ so much? The torque #s are much closer.
Does anyone have experience w either, what is the estimate mpg how does it feel power wise on road?
I'll post the links on what I found. The hp and torque readings where taken at different rpm. I'll see if I can find a more fair comparison. Thanks for any input.

I’ve been riding an XS1100 for 20 years and about 100,000 miles. It’s quick. It pulls very hard right on through the ton. The weight is a bit high. It has been described as, “Handles like a cow. Shifts like a Russian tractor. Goes like a locomotive. You’re gonna love it!”

These bikes have the first/second gear malady. No part available. Complex ignition. No parts available.

Sign on to XS11.club and ask there. These bikes can be purchased for cheap, often less than XS650. Big changes year after year to ignition, cylinder heads. Specials and standards unlike the XS650 are very different from each other.

I’ve ridden the 1100 Virago and it pulls hard from stopped. If you’re 4’ 11” tall, you can probably flat foot it. Too small for me.
