I am chasing an electrical nightmare. Someone blew off a bomb under the seat. I finally got everything working....just not correctly. I installed the two wire flasher that was suggested in another thread. I have it hooked up correctly I believe. When hooking up to my LED's I found the correct wires and they dont appear to be molested. When I push the switch either left or right, both sides are lighting up at the same time. I spent some time studying the manual, and I dont see the problem.

I am hoping others have experienced this and could give me a tip.

Thanks,
Jim

BTW it is a 1980 SX 650 Special

Ha, I had that problem when I put LED turn signals on my bike too, soo frustrating. My solution was to remove the blinker indicator bulb in the instrument cluster, fixed it.

If the 2 signal wires are connected to a common wire *ie signal indicator* than the voltage will backfeed through & light up both like mentioned above.

You could try using a diode.. Readily available @ radio shack for cheap...
A diode will only let current pass through one direction. Check the page below for directions.
