New addition to the garage…

The brakes on the Buffalo aren’t the greatest. Maybe over the winter I’ll have the rotors resurfaced. I popped the brake pads out today and found they were well glazed and certainly ready for replacement at the end of the season. Here’s some pics of the pads before and after deglazing, as well as the deglazing tool used. I saw it on YouTube and laughed at the kid who suggested this. Well he was right and the garage floor worked like a charm! Were they perfectly flat and surfaces parallel - I doubt it. Just need to find a spot with the correct surface grit! And yes, after deglazing they worked much better!

Lol.

Needed storage space for tools, water etc. a friend was selling a small Givi top case. Fit nicely on the rear rack. When removed the base plate is barely noticeable. Won’t leave it on all the time but will be great for short trips. I believe the base plate is a common size so later boxes can be installed too.

Kinda' like planing the float bowl cover on a Solex carb, a piece of 220 on an old piece of flat laminated glass, close enough for my stuff.

Well that didn’t last long. Lol. I sold the Water Buffalo and it will soon be on its way to California to meet its new owner. Have my eye on a replacement bike already and might have it in the stable in a couple of weeks. Loved the Suzuki but it was a choice to sell the XS or the GT750 and the XS won. Will post details and pics of the new ride when it happens!

6 months of fun. I don't recall seeing many GT 750's when they were new much less now. Yours was a beauty!
