LOL I think the point I wanted to make was this magnet wasn't one that got weak, but I can't remember. There are two problems with overseas manufacturing, One of them is you can't just walk in and say what the hell are you people doing, or let's figure it out together. But I wonder if anybody actually knows what the requirements are.
I'm never going to buy another substantial new part unless it explicitly says made in U.S.A. or in Japan. Used genuine Yamaha parts would have saved a couple hundred dollars and a big headache...
