Petcocks question

OK. I heard from a friend (who is often full of crap) that 1/4 NPT threads match up with 1/4 British pipe threads. Is this correct?

If not does anyone know of a good source of british petcocks for cheap? I need a pair of 90deg one's for a wassel tank.

I'm going to say NO. I had to get a adapter for my toyota cause it was BPT and the oil pressure sender was NPT. I got it from summit.

You might get a seal, since the diameters are similar, and thethreads will probably deform when you crank it, but I wouldn't count on it. Brit threads are genereally whitworth (55deg thread form), and usedifferent pitches, and different depths...
