I do a lot of highway driving. Standard 65mph all day.
My rpm's are way too high and I wanna take them down.
It's a 1980 xs650 special

I've looked into it a bit, but with my stock setup, I want to go to a 17/30 or a 17/31. I hear this will lower my highway rpm's considerably.

To do so I just need the 30 or 31t rear sprocket, put it in and enjoy the lower revs? Or will I have to adjust my chain and timing a bunch?

Thanks/

17/31 is perfect for the highway, 70 all day low rpm:thumbsup:
