I’m selling a 1980 XS650 along with many parts. Clean title in my name. 18,300 miles.
Please read carefully. Currently the bike idles but seems like the spark breaks down above 2k rpms. Last fall I was riding to Long Island from PA when the bike wouldnt rev above 3.5k rpm. Over the hour left in my trip the max rpm slowly kept decreasing to about 2.5k rpm. After trouble shooting it now has continued to fall to around 1.5-2. I have swapped carbs and gotten the same results. Next I swapped all the electronics with the spares I have(CDI box, ignition coil, voltage regulator etc.) I dont have a spare stator and when i tested the rotor ohms it read about 2 which makes me think i need a new rotor (spec is 5-7). I just dont have the time nor do I want to spend more money on the puller tool and a new rotor.
The bike has drilled front rotor upgrade, performance exhaust from mikesxs(two sets of original pipes included) and finned oil filter cover.
Included with the bike is everything pictured.
-spare engine, was running well when pulled 129xx miles.
-two 1981 xs650 seats. one stock other cafe racer seat
-haynes manual and original owners manual
-large bitwell full face and daytona half shell
-headlights, gauge pods, brake components, wire harnesses from 1981 xs650
-tons more extra parts that cam off a 1981 XS650 with 13000 miles
Bike is located in bellmore, If you have any questons I'll be happy to answer them. $1200 for everything but i will entertain reasonable offers. $300 for spare engine by itself.
