Birdwood is a small town in the Adelaide hills. We went there today and I took a few pics. Some interesting cars and bikes, many of the bikes I'd never heard of.. Here's some pics. Note the front end of the V twin OEC.
A couple of interest are the Douglas flat twin, I think they were 250cc, called the Dragonfly?
Then there is the Ukrainian Cossack chopper and motorised scooter with hub motor.

And some cars. First pic is a 1948 FX Holden. First car ever produced by Holden. Next pic is the ute version. Next couple of pics are of panel vans, these were big in Oz in the late 60s early 70s with the younger crowd, we called them 'shagging wagons'. I had one myself, a 1964 Falcon, low roof panel Van. Unfortunately, the girls stayed away in their droves.
Holden stopped producing them sometime in the early 80s from memory, then tried introducing them 20 years, or so, later. They weren't popular so again discontinued.
Now the really exotic Zeta. Made by the Lightburn Company, it had a 350cc two stroke motor with a four speed gearbox, no reverse gear, however, by stopping the motor and starting it again in a reverse direction, you had four reverse gears, but no forward gears. The green one was the 'sports' model. Pretty neat huh, thank goodness they never took off.
