I'm not going to point any fingers or name any names, but lately I've noticed a few posts where noobs come here for advice, then either completely ignore it, or argue with it.

One of the many concepts that completely eludes me. :umm:

Just venting, we now return to our regularly scheduled programming...

I guess you can learn the easy way or the hard way, they choose the hard way. Whatcha gonna do? :banghead:
There are probably 10 guys thankful for advice for every one of those types though.

Yes, I agree, that does happen. I think some of posters come here looking to get confirmation of their ideas, but then get testy when no one agrees with them. I am reminded of several that have questioned if they should run their bike without a front brake. When I answer their question, that they should use a front brake, they start giving verbal abuse. They only want replys from those who agree with them, and don't want to hear the opposing views.

our world is being turned upside down.
And that is a part of it.

Why? does it seem that cnn is treating the perps as the victims.

Right on Carbon! I couldn't agree more. I find CNN's view point disgusting. Those young lads did a bad thing and now they have to pay for it. CNN seems to say that these guys are "football heros", and how can the justice system be so harsh to them. Why do they not speak about the young girls trumatic experience, and how that will affect her life.

I just saw that the girl's life was threatened via social media.
The more I learn about people the more I like my pets.

I cant get past the fact the CNN reporter chick is soo HOT!
But that's my own sickness.........
Leading the horse to water..........Sometimes I find myself not drinking the water either!
I recently broke a golden rule of mine...Never to build a custom anything it's cheaper to buy it already done!
Some how I'm here doing it again.................????

Again I'll play devils advocate.
It has been awhile since I have had any doins with the public school system.
BUT I do remember girls going out with the intention of getting shit faced.
And acting badly. This isn't a new thing.
And I think too many rely on the excuse of "blacking out, so I'm not responsible".
I don't think things have changed that much in the 43 yrs since.
With the exception that it is now caught on film(so to speak) and put in the world view.
Why should the males only be held accountable?
If she going to act the tramp then don't be dissappointed with the name and reputation.
And certainly don't blame others when your intentions and actions bring it home to bear.

I sure wouldn't want to have been the one to have supplied the alcohol to those minors. There may be a bunch of people getting charged. I do have to wonder if society would look at it the same if two girls had been the perpatrator and the boy was saying he was raped.
jefft

1: Perfectly legal, unless the law is broken

2: No, it is the same. Just happens at a younger age.

3: Rape is rape, 1 Year in a juvenile center?

4: If she had just had sex with 100 guys and decided she didn't want to have it with the 101st it is her choice and her right. She didn't have a choice

5: maybe there is some confusion. The ease of availability of porn to young people and them thinking it is normal, then acting it out. The pedastool that sports stars are put on and revered, putting then above the law. The system that encourages sport to be better than moral or academic achievement

I've been preaching this for years. Complete, utter, irredeemable thugs, but if they play football or basketball, they're heroes. What raving bullshit.

Some people will always suck up to someone who has money or fame hoping that maybe it will get them something. Human nature I guess.

I can't agree with you WER. Kids are kids and they will go out and get drunk, that's just what they do. There can be no reason for the young lady to be violated. Women are the weaker sex and they need to be protected.

Sports figures like to think they are special, and above the law. Remember O. J. Simpson, who literally got away with murder, for a while. I think he's in the slammer now for theft.

When I was a teenage drunk (many years ago) we had an unwritten rule - don't mess with the drunk chicks, it's just plain wrong!
My friends and I had plenty of opportunity but if anybody was stupid enough to go after a completely drunk girl, we would step in and correct his stupid ass right then and there!
What about all the witnesses? These two assholes deserve to get some of their own medicine while they are in the lockup.
And the 2 little shitheads that threatened the victim need a good smack in the head too...

If the girl can be so drunk that her consent didn't mean anything then maybe the boys can be so drunk their intent didn't mean anything. No intent no crime. Everybody go home.
