I didn't see your post until now.
I have most of the wiring harness installed again.
I was kinda surprised the connectors fit through the openings that I left.
But damned if they didn't make it!
Now to hide those ugly connectors.
I have a idea hope it works.

I used to build custom efi wiring harnesses for the honda race cars I used to be into... yet the wiring on my bike is the part I dread the most... lmao.

Well as some of you know this is my first bike build.
With that I get to do some things a bit different.
To hide the wire connector nest, I made a faux neck.
I seems to do the job well. The neck when the faux neck is in place, looking down at it, now looks elliptical. And the nest is in a cavity that has been created.
I'll take some pix later as the part is in the painting stage. "that's right it's drying"

Iv been busy on other things.
I have had a couple pets that I raised from birth, sick beyond my ability to help them any longer.
So I have been at their side as much as possible. Flicker passed away last Thursday night. And Rowdy passed away 2 hours ago. Any way they are out of pain now. And watching my Mom suffer was sad as well.
I'm not sure what it is about pets but, Damn I have a soft spot for them. I worked on a cattle ranch, I was a Marine and have seen my fair share of death. And to date only my Pops death ever bothered me as much as the loss of my Pets.
Well I took the speedo that John didn't want. And I wasn't going to use it.
So I decided to use it for something else.
When I looked closer at it, I found that the top was crimped on.
so I had to cut the bottom off to remove the insides.
It was this
It's now a voltmeter, turn signal indicators, neutral indicator, high bean indicator.

So sorry to hear your loss of your loved pets and your mom. I dread the day I have to let my cats go, I can only imagine what it feels like. I lost my father last September, miss him so bad.
