Bought this '71 wrecked and abandoned from the body shop where it sat uncovered for 25 years. Did a frame-off on it over the course of about 10 years as time and money allowed. Finally finished it in 2010.

Tell us more. it isn't a smogged out 327 is it? I think 72 was the first year of the epa totally killing the vette.

Some nice looking rides in here. Dad and me are into all kinda BS also lol. From boats to cars to bikes. It is a sickness that keeps most of us broke, cuz I know I am, hahaha.. Here are some pics of a few of our friends cars, my stuff. Orange truck is my buddy Bobby's chevy, has a 509'' cady in the bed. Other car is a car my dad built from our buddy Brian. Car is chopped, with hydraulics, a 410 blown Pontiac. Next is our buddy Pat. It's a kit cobra with a nasty big block. And next is my 32 Fountain fever, our 33 10 meter fountain. After that is my Dodge Dart, set up for a boosted small block chevy. Engine is set back 10'' in the car.

Got more pics of it?

I'm a hot rodder trapped in the body of a middle aged, married man with 3 kids, a house payment, 2 car payments and a motorcycle and R/C addiction. Had some cool cars back in the day, though. Dad and I built this 52 Chevy when I was 15/16. Found the car on ebay about 5 yrs ago with some turd from Florida describing how he built it and did this and that. I sent him the build pics and told him it was built in a 2 car garage on a dirt road in Michigan. Never heard back from him...
After we sold the 52, we built a 70 Nova with a mild 454. A big block, 4 speed, 55 Chevy is on the bucket list. Some day...

Thanks for the compliments, guys! Tons of work. 270hp 350, 4 speed with 3.36 rear gears. '71 was when they reduced compression and started downhill from there. The car only had 15k miles on it when I got it, but the engine had gotten water in it from a burst water line and sat like that for a long time. Just honed the cylinders, new rings and a valve job and it runs good. Still a little dusty with a few things unfinished in these photos.

Need to get some cheap HP. Slap a roller cam set up, a vortec head and intake configuration on there, :D Maybe even take some meat off the heads to get some more comp. :D
