Bad tci diode? Please take a look

Did you happen to view my last few posts.
Symptoms switch sides with plug wires. Could a bad tci be resposible. Disregard low voltage to coil, its measuring at 12.5.
And when i disconnected reg/rec at end of last year, no change.

Mornin' don't really sound like a TCI issue, plug cap? or coil maybe? about any 2.4 - 3.0 ohm dual tower coil will work.

And a weak rotor magnet would present itself on both sides, not just one, right?

yeah IMHO anything in front of the coil is going to be pretty even Steven cylinder wise. There is a slight differential side to side on two tower coils one side is +12 other -12, across several thousand volts that's pretty minor.

Also, switch primary wiring, and note changes...

Coil on bench and testing is erratic at best. Primary resistance will not measuresame when leads are switched... ill get 3 then 5 then 9 then 12 if i go back and forth. Never the same number. Wtf?
