compression

About 150 lbs is ideal. Best to read it with the engine warm and with the throttle all the way open.

The repair manual says a good running engine should have a minimum of 145 lbs. You did read your repair manual, didn't you. On a fresh top end 165 is about right.
If the compression is low it may get better as you run it. Even is just as important as the PSI. If they are close it indicates a better engine condition than a wide difference.
If your bike has been setting for a long time and you just got it running, 90-100 lbs. is workable. As it sets a coat of rust forms on the cylinders and rings. This prevents a good seal. As it runs it wears this rust off. The compression will come up as it wears the rust away. It can take several hundred miles for this to happen.
A bit more info on your bike is always a good thing.
Year, model, mods. A lot of people put this in their signature.
