Ok. I am doing a café also. Same tank. My original 750 petcocks hit the top of the carbs. (fit the tank without carbs on) I think I can still make it work though. Good luck on yours! here is mine so far. just finished paint. working on wiring now.
So I'm just finishing the wiring and had a few questions if anyone can help. 1. Please if anyone notices anything weird let me know. 2. Trying to finish the wiring of a kill switch and headlight control. I have a good idea on a couple of the wires but was hoping someone could help out.
Please can someone help on this kill switch. I'm pretty sure red is hot, black is ground, yellow is headlight, blue is high beam. Also does anyone know if the dual output coil has a + or a - ?
I haven't gotten to the wiring phase yet but Im going to be stripping down a stock wiring harness soon. So, I can't answer your question but I have noticed that questions are more likely to be answered in their own post outside your build thread. I think there is just build thread overload and people kinda ignore them.
I got the wiring all finished and the bike started a few times but the timing pin kept falling out. Tightened it down real good and then the first pic happened. The copper cap bent. I've already ordered a new one off of pamco pete's web site which I believe is one of the new ally ones. My question is will this solve my problem or is it stemming from other problems? Still waiting on the new seat too.
