Chain still needs to go on and brake fluid needs to be added. Still need to plumb the fuel system too. So no it hasn't been ridden yet. She only came off the bench last night.
I'll for sure snap a couple pics of the electronics box for you. Although there isn't much to see. LOL
Got the chain on, installed the clutch handle, and mounted the tail light. Need to make longer fender struts as the tail light is a little to close to the tire for my liking. I found the pull on the clutch to be very light. Did some reading and found that I may be missing the ball bearing in the side cover that contacts the push rod. I'll have to check that out this weekend. Any how, here are a couple pic's. Mostly of things you have all seen before.
You can just see the tail light in the rear fender in this picture. It has intergrated turn signals too. Bright as hell.
Well I am just about done. Only need to run some fuel line, build the rear fender struts, and bleed the brakes. I know all the photos that I have posted look pretty similar but here are a couple more.
Took my bike across to another friends shop to finish off all the fine details. Got it up on the stand and took a few pic's. Later realized that my lens was dirty.
Thinking about paint now. Can't decide on a color. It looks to good for primer. Dark metallic grey or bomber grey. Maybe somebody else has another idea I haven't thought of.
On a side note, I've removed the front fender, for now. But it will be getting cut down or replaced.
I'll have to see if I have a piece left over and measure it for you. I can't remember at the moment. I'll get back to you on that.
I did get the chance to lay down some colour last night. Got about 3 coats of base down. Needs a wet sand and likely another coat or 2. Then its clear coat time. Getting closer and closer to being ready for the show.
The light wasn't doing me any favors, but it has a high metallic content and is sparkly.
Also got the tail light and signals finish up too. here is a pic of the tail light all lit up. Don't worry its not going to be sitting on the tire. I have fender struts in the process of being built. The tail light has built in amber signals.
