Kick starter won't turn

So I just rebuilt my 75 xs 650 engine and I put the kick starter
On and it goes to about 11:00 the just gets stuck won't budge
You pull it forward the it comes to the 12 o clock position. Any ideas?

is the spring wound correctly? when putting it back in are all the washers put in the correct order?

yeah... the spring has to be wound correctly that would be my first guess. dis u split the crank case?

Thats totally what it was after about 40 min I figured it out works just fine now. Thanks for the advice and the link. That way looked much easier than how I did it!
