My First Post! Question Too about a 72?

I agree, I am going to leave it on for now, get stuff running and if I ever want to add the starter back down the road I will only have to track down all that internal gear stuff. But I really don't want to buy a whole motor for that little bit right now if I don't have to.

I have extra of those parts but all from newer motors It seems like I recall that there is a change somewhere along the line on a shaft spline or something? If you aren't in a rush you will find what you need in time.

I am not in a hurry, for now I will just block it off and get her going, my leg will hold out for a while anyways.
