got rims painted and new tires. bike feels much more nimble going from 130 rear and 100 front to 120 rear and 90 front width tires. now riding on bridgestone trail wings.

damn things make the rest of the bike look filthy!

Hi deadchef,
running on town & countries, eh?
My experience with road/trail tires is they grip great but they don't last very long especially at highway speeds.
I certainly noticed the more nimble ride feel when I swapped my 130/90-16 rear wheel & tire for a 110/90-18 rear wheel & tire.
Lost out on straight line stability though.

living in michigan half the roads here may as well be gravel

we have lots of trails around here and the spitfire's just didn't cut it. i'm pretty easy on tires for the most part. i swapped the spitfire's over to another bike of mine so a friend could have a bike for the summer. they have over 4k on them and they still looked new.

Very nice..
It s looking very nice and nobody will say that it is old.I like your bike and want same for me.
