I removed and cleaned my oil filters today. They are in amazing shape for being manufactured in 1978. I posted some before and after cleaning pictures.
looks good. there dosnt seem to be alot of stuff stuck to the magnet on that first pic. I see were you swiped your fingr on it, above that, it looks like the usual gunk. ide say your motor is in good shape. how does it run?
The sump filter is apt to tear. It can be fixed. Letting the bike warm up good before riding it much over 2500 rpms will help deter the tearing of the filter.
