Carter, what signifies in carb sizing is the unobstructed area of the venturi, and a VM32 will have more unobstructed area than a stock BS34 vacuum carb. Those carbs will work fine, and throttle response should be very sharp when you get them dialed in. You may find that you need to jet just a little bit leaner than the VM34 baseline.
