I masked off four or five designs before going with that one...one of them was "XS650" cut out, but was more detailed than I cared for on my first attempt. I covered the side panel with blue masking tape and drew away...several times. cut my final spade template out, and transferred it to taped over surface. I cut out the tape leaving paint exposed.... what needed to go away ..and the rough cutting began with hand nibblers staying away from the edges about 1/8". I did most of the final cutting by sanding with 40 grit on a 3" disc mandrel on my angle die grinder. final detail with different files.
The perforated metal is jb welded to the backside, just a dab here and there. I used some old scale balance weights to hold it tight with the panel sitting upside down on a 5 gallon bucket till the jb dried. I did cut out a spade in the front of a front fender. I still have the final detail to do on that.

I have 3 more sets of side panels, and am working on one tonight....
