Hi!

I have been wondering how the original turn signals for XS2 1972 look like. I found couple in ebay that I think are the right ones. But there is a big difference between the prices. The other one is 14$ for the whole set (4 blinkers), and the other one is about 90$ just for one blinker:

- Cheaper: http://www.ebay.com/itm/YAMAHA-XS1-...Parts_Accessories&hash=item43c397881f&vxp=mtr

- Expensive: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Yamaha-XS1-...:Yamaha|Model:XS2&hash=item41785186c0&vxp=mtr

Has anybody idea why the difference is so huge? Maybe the cheaper ones are plastic and the other is metal?

Originals are chromed pot metal. Very hard to find them used with good chrome....

The expensive one is NOS, new old stock. This is a factory original from the early years.
Most people selling NOS parts think they are worth a lot of money. Some buyers think so to so they sell at stupid high prices.
Get the cheap set. They may be chromed plastic bodies but most won't be able to tell the difference.

Just got delivered the turn signals from Thailand, must say i am quite impressed with them, obviously they are plastic not metal but so were the lucas ones on my T140.
For the price £18.00 delivered to the door IMO they are a good deal ,includes the bulbs as well.

Hi!

I also got the turn signals from Thailand couple weeks ago. It was a quick delivery, and they were cheap. However, there was one minor thing with the installation: the stems didn´t reach through the base plates. But it was quite easy to fix, I took some pictures of it.

Pictures 1 and 2: you can see that the stem is quite short, and did not go through the base plate
picture 3 and 4: I opened the cover, took the stem out, and removed the collar on the stem (it is some kind of alloy metal, although the signal is otherwise plastic)
Picture 5: then it went nicely
