Acres Under Glass
Huge greenhouse on the edge of town, one of many in SW Ontario. It's beside a regional office for Union Gas and across the road from the ethanol plant, taking its excess heat, humidity and CO2 as needed.
Actually showing off my newly painted tins, just love that rattlecan rustoleum in apple red.

Sod the glass house @lakeview, That bike looks fantastic!

Another beautiful ride through the countryside! Sounded like the wind noise was a lot less, I could hear the rumble of your exhaust more. Did you install a wind noise muffler on your camera?
Yes Sir: put this thing on it... Doesn't fit very well (not close to the pic below), but it has helped...I'll keep experimenting

RUN BANG POP!

After a few short 10 mile runs and a good ride to the Bike Meet last Wednesday; I decided to take Taffy on a longer run.
Lovely weather today and planned a run to Abergavenny, 80 miles round trip. A local bike haunt where bikes and riders of all kinds gather for tea and a cake.

Togged up and Taffy fires up first press of the starter. Quick warm up, knock off the choke, and off we go.
30 meters down the road and Taffy is popping and back-firing. A run around the block to see if it clears and the bike stalls at the first junction.
Fu(k it! Back to the shop and park Taffy up.

Too nice a day to waste pulling the XS650 apart, so I take The Brat (Bratwurst) BMW GS1200 out instead.

A nice 100 mile ride on The Brat; but no social biking as to other non BMW bikers I seem to be invisible.
Only two waves from other bikers from the dozen or so I passed.

Adam, I've got one Gonzo box that will sometimes act that way on startup. If I shut the bike off and restart it, it'll run just fine. Yeah.... finicky these little Chinese boxes.
Just curious if you tried restarting it and it still acted up?

Back in 2005, I restored this ‘77 BMW R/100/7. It had a beautiful fresh paint job and I had it shining like a new penny.

This guy I knew, had a newish Goldwing and he belonged to some Goldwing riders group. He invited me along to go for this breakfast group ride. There were probably 20 Goldwings there in every color of the rainbow, I was the only non Goldwing rider. My Beemer had no trouble keeping pace with them. But they acted so clannish, they treated me like a red headed step child. Not one person came over to look at my Beemer, nor did they even want to talk to me. It was a very strange experience. 😳

So, it's not just Harley riders that can be tools then? FWIW I ride a Harley and don't like snobs. I like 'em all.

Me too, I've ridden a Harley for decades but I've ridden all makes of Japanese bikes far longer. I never discriminate when riding, always give the wave...even to crotch rockets, unless they're acting like boneheads of course. Although, I've seen plenty of guys on Harleys acting like boneheads too so there's that...

No Jim.
I didn’t do a reboot as you suggest.
If the weather is OK tomorrow I will give it another go.

Nice looking’ ride Bob.
shame about the way we BMW riders seem to be ostracised by the greater biking community. Modern Goldwing riders suffer the same it seems.

IME, the Goldwingers (now defunct GWRRA) were the snobbiest of any motorcycle riders; didn't acknowledge anything that wasn't a Goldwing. Even if you did have a "Wing" you also had to wear pointy-toed cowboy boots and a a huge belt buckle, lest you be "out of uniform"
