Hey guys, have a 77D and looking for a tachometer replacement, since apparently i can't take the cover off and replace the missing screws. I can
take the set off your hands to avoid breaking it up, if necessary.
Thanks,
James

This is my version, apparently the "special".

If you have a stock from the factory '77 tach it will come apart. Uncrimp the metal bezel that holds the glass face on, a bit better than halfway around. There was a post describing such just the other day.
Do a search of "paint can opener"........probably the only time that word sequence has ever been used on this site.

Ok, will check, thanks. The 2 little screws came out so the dial is spinning.

Several threads in Tech about tach and speedo repair.

I’ve got this set. PM me if interested.

Yes, those would be more off a '78 or later special. The factory 77D standard models use the setup that I posted up.
