    First timer.... just installed valve springs and noticed that I have gaps in the valve spring keepers (collets). Is this normal/acceptable?

    Trying to confirm year.

    I have checked out VIN/Model lists to confirm year of my bike but can't find exact match. I am thinking it is a 1972 but would like to confirm before I start ordering parts. Engine and Frame number are both same - S650-123112 Anyone out there confirm the year for me?
