i split the case to fix my 1st gear problems and low and behold i had a worn shift fork and rounded off dogs on the 4th gear got a newer tranny all seems to be in order now. but i have some questions 1) what is the best way to remove the old yamabond there dosent seem to be much there 2)...

i need a tranny or bottom end for my 81 special 1st gear is shot:(

what would cause my 1st gear to slip out under load all other gears are fine i can get it to move in 2nd but in 1st it slips out half way or somthing and makes a bad clank grind noise that wont stop till i put it back in nutral i checked the bike on center stand and it shifts fine through...

when i change my buckhorn bars for different probably clubman will i have to replace clutch cable throttle and brake line for shorter ones

has anyone tried these and are they worth the money

does anyone know if this will work on my 81sh seems to be cheap but you know the old saying if it sounds to good to be true it probably is...

one of the studs that hold on the foot rest broke at the thread when i removed the foot rest is there any way to replace it:doh:

is there any advantage to useing pod filters over the stock ones and if i use the pod filters will i have to rejet also with the pod filters if i use a reed valve on the case vent does it need a filter or any special mods

is there a way to bench test a reg/rec my bike is in a 100 pieces and have a rebuilt rotor and stator but dont know how to test i dont want to ruin my rebuilt stuff any help would be great

need a working reg/rec unles some one can tell me how to bench test one bike is in pieces and and not sure if mine is good
