Is it to big? Im going thru hell trying to find a remote reservoir front mastercylinder. The best I can come up with is a 14 mm. Is 3 more mm's going to make it way too touchy??
Not touchy, more wooden. The lever will pull harder to get the same braking effect. The stock later model single piston calipers use a 14 mm as the stock size master cylinder. It will work ok, but a smaller will be better.
I think most more modern bikes use the 14 mm with dual disc front brakes, so they are easier to find.
Using a dual disc set up with the 14 mm works great.
