What have people restoring early drum brake bikes done for front mudguards ?
I'm told new ones are virtually non-existant, and nobody is selling a replica.
Found a NOS item for sale at over £400, with some damage from storage.
Without the stays.
I'll pass on that one.
I'm thinking fabricating my own replica using a commercially available blade type mudguard might be the way to go.
Any handy short-cuts, maybe using parts from other models or makes ?

I’d imagine they are hunting and gathering and coughing up the dough to pay for real correct parts. If you aren’t doing that, I would say you aren’t doing a restoration.

Could take years depending on the state of your ride.
