What engine oil are we using, I have recently fitted a 750cc engine (Smedspeed) with a 277 deg rephased crank, and I am interested in what members are using in their engines, I have always been a Putoline user. and i have noticed this Putoline oil N-TECH V-TWIN PRO 15W-60 fully synthetic, possibly suit a rephased engine, I know the manual recommends SAE 20w/50

You have to use re-phased oil, nothing else will work.

IMHO if it's compatible with a wet clutch it should be ok.
I would not use it until the rings have seated.

They'll seat pretty damn quick if'n you don't use oil...

Old GM EOS. 2OZ with normal fill.
Phos and Zinc for 20 minutes then dump.

Very true. That's why you use a non-synthetic oil for break-in.

I know, i can only surmise i put that on for aesthetic reasons, old photo now. I use a mineral oil when running a engine in, for abot 500 miles then new filter and oil

Auto, that is exactly what I plan to do this afternoon. A blast around Sherwood Forest calling in at the "Green Hut" Ollerton roundabout for a cuppa.

Had a good ride around the woods Worksop Cuckney Meden Vale and Edwinstowe, clutch requires a bit of adjustment
