Anyone been watching Mecum Vegas M/C Auctions?

There's always more to the story, ain't there?
Turns out the auction guys couldn't verify the VIN because the powder coating on the frame was too thick. At Mecum's request, the seller ground off enough of the powder coat to make the VIN legible, sent Mecum a photo and rattle canned over the ground off powder.

So, it may have looked sketchy as hell, but nothing nefarious going on.... the bike is legit after all.

Man, a bike that historically rare shouldn't have been powder coated in the first place. Should've been done the factory way with appropriate paint....I guess I'm more of a purist that way, I dunno?

I think the seller's story is legit, but probably could have been done better for certain.

I wonder if the sale will be rectified after that fact now too?

If that’s the case, the seller should be suing mecum… beyond dysfunctional and a loss of a sale.

I think this makes em look even more like clowns.

*also with Vince… “restorations” do not have powder coating.
