It IS well maintained isn't it? I wonder what year that grab rail is off of? I'd like to fit one to my 77.

Pumps, that grab rail is original equipment on the 79F. Mikes sells a replica for $45, and the part number is 68-6809.

Hi Pumps, pretty sure the grab rail is just stock 78, 79 ...just like the SE & SF. I've got one btw if it will fit? Does your 77 D have the welded on left side hand hold for center stand lift like the 75, 76? If so it would impede fit as is. It's yours if you want it!

From what I'm learning re this bike, I would have to conclude that if rarity, care & condition count as they should this one should bring top dollar! Best, Blue

That is a really clean bike, just put the tank badges on and ride it. Should be interesting to see what a bike like that will bring. $1376 right now.

That's a pretty healthy closing price. But then the buyer is getting ax XS650 that is in practically new condition for $3k, which when you think about it, isn't really a bad deal at all. Plus it is likely only to appreciate in value, which can't be said for a modern 600/650.
