Ok, I think I've narrowed down my hanging idle issue to the shaft seals. Mostly stock internals but I have K&N's and straight through baffles. Carbs have been cleaned multiple times. I've gone from the stock pilot to a 45 to 47.5 and I can get rid of most of the hanging idle at 5 turns out but not gone completely. So, spraying around the carbs intakes I get no change but on the outsides of the shafts the idle drops when sprayed. These are BS (got that part right!) 34's on an '80 XS650SG. How man shaft seals are there? Just two, one on each outside or are there are also seals on the insides?
Also, I've been searching and have found bits and pieces but would love a link to a full how-to on replacing them if it exists.
Thanks for the info.
