Cox Red Baron with 020 engine. Most of my friends had 049s. I scrimped and saved to get one of these when I was a kid, about 1968/9 if I remember correctly. One of my most precious childhood possessions . A year or two later I got interestEd in mini bikes/motorcycles and that was that. Started looking for one for the man cave fifteen years ago and found this one, still in the shrink wrap, about a two hour drive away. I guess it’s a sign of old age, desiring things from your youth. To paraphrase George Carlin, it’s “No poke shit. You get high just thinking about it “.

Dad was a pilot and mech. I grew up flying and working on airplanes.... big-uns and models.
Some of my fondest memories are from the control end of a Cox .049 motor. Fun times. :D
