All of a sudden I need to have my choke partially on in order for both cylinders to fire.If I take the choke off one cylinder starts poping intermitantly. Can anybody give me a direction to go?
From personal experience, also make sure your points are properly set. I was trying to chase down carb demons for a couple months before I realized my points weren't gapped.
I think I've got other problems.I cleaned carbs.jets, ports, circuits and it didn't help. While the engine was running I pulled a plug wire off the dead cylinder and there was no spark.I have transistor ign. so its not the points. What now, new coil??
Bad plug. Bad plug wire. Bad plug wire cap. The way the TCI ignition works is it fires both plugs at the same time. If one plug is firing then the coil is probably ok. Check the wires, caps and plugs.
