does anyone know if Gary at Custom Rewinds in Georgia I believe, is still doing rewinds of charging rotors? I need a fresh rotor for my '83.

Yes, they're still at it. I spoke with him about 2 months ago. Keep trying the phone, they'll be done with the fax machine sooner or later.
FWIW, I ended up choosing a good-condition used alternator hand picked by gggGary.
