Just received my UK V5C registration document for my XS1B exactly four weeks after I posted off the V55/5 application form and all the other supporting documents.
Not the snooty rejection letter and everything sent back to me that I got last time with my 650SG Special.
Surprisingly simple considering I really only spent the registration fee (£55) plus the UK VJMC dating letter (£35)
The only other real outlay was a cheap rattle can of Orange paint, so that I could honestly describe the bike as Orange without telling lies on the V55 form.
Yes, I know it looks disgusting, but it's served it's purpose.
The guy I bought the bike from could easily have registered it and added about £500 to the value of the bike, but never got around to it.
Maybe he was too busy with the other 25 bikes in his collection.
