How can someone look at a carburetor and identify it as a bs34 or whatever?
About the only thing I can find is the manufacture name.
The model and size of the carburetor are not there.
Is there a guide for identifing carbs?

The Carb Guide in Tech might show. Put up a pick of the back and sides of the carb.... someone will chime in.

BS 34's have chrome tops............ BS38' 74/75 have twin throttle cables, (as do 70-73 carbs but they have a raised floor in the carbs), 76/77 and 78/79 BS 38 carbs need to be identified buy showing the intake bell.
