i lost one of the screws that holds the cover on the ignition on the engine. anybody got one kicking around?

Take the one you have to Lowes or some other superstore like that and get a replacement. Take one of the float bowl screws out of your carburetor and pick up some Allen head screws to replace those Phillips head screws while you're at it. Easy peasy.

the nearest hardware superstore is about 4 hours away. I live in a town of about 3500 people. not really an option haha
you live in Canucklia every podunk hardware and auto store has a metric fastener assortment. they are short little buggers though. I do NOT recommend this but have found many sheet metal screws holding that cover on to "barn bikes".
If you have buy a longer one and cut it shorter, run a nut on the screw BEFORE you cut it off, makes a great guide (you can clamp it in the vice too) and it reforms the last thread when you take it off.
